What this site does

Conta Lusa is a calculator site for people who work or buy a home in mainland Portugal. Each tool uses a published figure: the 2026 withholding tables, VAT rates, the May 2026 Euribor average, the INE consumer-price index, or the property-transfer-tax notice.

A salary of €1,600.00 for an unmarried person with no dependents has €192.27 of income tax withheld and €176.00 of social security. Monthly net is €1,231.73. If the holiday and Christmas subsidies each equal one month of gross pay, estimated annual net is €17,244.22.
