How the series is applied
To carry an amount from year A to year B, multiply by each average annual change between them. From 2021 to 2022 that is only the 2022 rate, 7.8%, so 100 euros becomes 107.80. From 2019 to 2020 the rate is zero and the amount stays put. Going backwards divides by those rates.
€1,000.00 in 2015 prices corresponds to €1,232.95 in 2025 prices. The sharp recent years were 2022 (7.8%) and 2023 (4.3%). The 2024 average was 2.4% and the 2025 average was 2.3%.
This measures the national CPI basket. A Lisbon rent or an electricity bill may have moved at a different pace.
